ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dimitri Kozyrev was born in Leningrad, USSR and moved to the United States in 1991. Kozyrev received his MFA from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2000, and his BFA from Ohio University in 1997. Since then, Kozyrev has had multiple solo shows in Los Angeles, New York and across the United States and internationally. He has completed residencies at Art Omi and the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art. For the past twenty years he was a Visiting Professor at UC Santa Barbara, CA, a Professor of Art with tenure at The University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ and a Visiting Professor at St. Edward’s University, Austin, TX. He is currently located in Salt Lake City where he keeps a full-time studio practice. See his website: dimitrikozyrev.com
